How to submit a takedown notice
A valid notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act for the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if more than one work on this site is covered by the notice
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its location on the site, including the URL, so we can find it
- Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed
Email is the fastest way to reach us. Incomplete notices may delay a response.
Counter-notifications
If your material was removed or disabled because of a DMCA notice and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled, and the location where it appeared before it was removed or disabled
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district where your address is located (or, if you are outside the United States, for any district where Loowit Technology Group, LLC may be found), and a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice, or that person's agent
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action seeking to keep it down.
Repeat infringers
We have a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are repeat infringers. That includes blocking further submissions or other access we control.
Misrepresentations
Knowingly materially misrepresenting that material or activity is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may lead to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
